JALANAN at Margaret Mead Film Festival, NY

  • Linder Theater, American Museum of Natural History Central Park West at 79th Street New York, NY 10024-5192 (map)

JALANAN is coming to America!
We’re delighted to share the news that JALANAN will have its U.S. premiere at the 38th annual Margaret Mead Film Festival in New York City, October 23-26, 2014. The Margaret Mead Festival, held at the Museum of Natural History, is the longest running international documentary film festival in the United States, and curates a very small number of films for its slate each year. JALANAN’s screening will be on Friday, Oct 24 at 10PM at the museum’s Linder Theater, and is presented in partnership with The Asia Society.

JALANAN director Daniel Ziv will be a contender for the Margaret Mead Filmmaker Award, which recognizes documentary filmmakers who embody the spirit, energy and innovation demonstrated by anthropologist Margaret Mead in her research, fieldwork, films and writings.

Tickets are now available online via the link below. Margaret Mead Festival screens each film just once, so if you’re planning to catch JALANAN, please book early, and please share this with any friends you think may be interested.

[We’re currently exploring the possibility of a second NYC screening and a Washington D.C. screening shortly thereafter, and we’ll post more details here soon.]
